Fees

        Fees charged at Soderstrom Dermatology Center, S.C. are in line with what other comparably trained and certified dermatologists, dermatologic surgeons, internal medicine physicians and plastic surgeons charge across the nation.  We have devoted much time and effort in developing a rational basis for determining our fees.  Costs, as well as multiple references, are used as resources for determining and maintaining the appropriate fees.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding our fees, please speak to one of our insurance specialists.

        Our policy is to request payment for services at the time of your visit.  We recognize that some services, such as multiple surgeries and complex problems can result in larger balances.  We are happy to assist with billing questions you may have and, if needed, even payment plans.  Please feel free to contact our business office to answer any questions you might have. 

Cost Containment

        We have taken numerous steps to help contain high health care costs.

• We employ many registered nurses specially trained in dermatology and surgical areas.
• We provide a newsletter to help our patients with preventative skin care concepts.
• We offer educational programs that reach out to the schools and public.
• We have generic drugs and medications available in our drug room.
• We have a superior computer system.

        We also provide staff who will help you with your insurance claims and will electronically bill insurance carriers and Medicare.  Soderstrom Dermatology Center, S.C. prides itself in helping you by offering convenient, one-stop skin care, from your initial doctor visit to the lab tests and necessary medications available in our drug room.
